Baby Ruth and Oh Henry are very similar bars. In fact, I wonder which came first, because I think you could call it a case of copy cat. Having said that, it is a formula that works, and I enjoy it a lot. The difference is in the shape and name of the stuff in the middle. The Oh Henry calls it "fudge" while the Baby Ruth calls it "nougat", even though they're really the same thing. I wonder which is more accurate?

The chocolate in the Baby Ruth was good, and the nuts were great. I like the idea of using caramel to glue everything together, and it is used well in this bar. One nice thing about the classic treats, like Baby Ruth, is that the proportion of caramel, nuts and chocolate is just right; it's something that takes time to master and this bar has been around long enough to do just that.
