I’m kind of surprised that I’ve never reviewed this bar before, but at the same time it makes sense. First and foremost I can’t get over one important fact, the word fruit in the name of this bar is a stretch. I’m not going to flat out call it a lie, but the implication is that there should be more than one fruit in this bar. No one says the word fruit in a sentence unless they’re talking about more than one fruit, or if they don’t know specifically what fruit is the subject. For example, I would never say “I just bought a bag of fruit” when I bought a bag of just apples.
The reason this grammar issue is so important is because how much you like this bar depends greatly on how much you like raisins. If you hate raisins then you’ll hate this bar, however if you didn’t know that the fruit mentioned in the name is exclusively raisins you still might buy it. It feels like Cadbury used to have more fruit variety in this bar, but over the years wittled it down to just raisins. I should also mention that this entire argument is also true about the “nut” in this bar, as there appears to only be almonds. It’s not as big a problem though as I believe there are more raisin haters out there.
Having said all of this, other than the lack of variety of nuts and fruit, this bar is still very good. The chocolate is a super high quality that you’d expect from Cadbury Dairy Milk. The ingredients are well distributed, and even the quality of the two ingredients is great. If you like almonds and raisins, you’ll enjoy this bar a great deal.
