This is a perfect example of a chocolate and mint combination that’s just fine. I don’t think it’s anything revolutionary, but it seems like the perfect chocolate mint treat to rate all others. There are most certainly some that are better, and there are many that are worse. It just feels very down the middle, which is good if you’re looking for a simple chocolate mint treat, but it’s a little more complicated when you want to write a review on it.

The best part of this treat is most certainly the chocolate, and it’s no surprise as this is made by one of my favourite chocolate companies in the world, Fazer. It’s smooth, creamy and has a wonderful cocoa flavour to balance out the mint. The mint on the other hand is really average, maybe even slightly below average compared to the chocolate. While the chocolate brings this treat up in the ratings, the mint brings it back down a little.

I wouldn’t say that the mint is bad, it just doesn’t seem as high a quality as the chocolate, it’s like an imbalance in quality that makes these treat less than excellent. There was also a lot of air in both of my chocolates, which could have been an unlucky pick on my part, or it might just be the way these are made.

There are few companies I would scrutinize as much as I scrutinize Fazer, so that’s really why this chocolate didn’t totally work for me. Some of the best chocolate treats I’ve ever eaten in my life are Fazer, to fall a little short on the mint is kind of disappointing, and kind of average.
