FizzingWhizzbees

I have to give credit where credit is due, these are like nothing I've ever eaten before. This is very different than other movie tie-in candies. For the most part when a candy company does a tie-in, all they do is put out gummies shaped as characters from the tie in, or stamp the logo on a chocolate bar. It’s not too often that you have the opportunity to make a candy that’s actually featured in a movie or TV show, much less one that’s actually important to the plot. It was very nice of JK Rowling to avoid simply using already existing candies, and make up some of her own. It was even nicer when candy companies didn’t just stamp Harry Potter on chocolate bars, but instead take up JK Rowling’s challenge and make them a reality.

These treats, are completely original which in my mind makes it really interesting. Now as far as how good they are, that's a different story. Right off the bat I wasn’t very happy with the flavour, it’s likely because I ate a green one first; Green Apple is often one of the worst synthetic flavours made. After trying a few more, the other flavours aren't bad, they just seem very fake. They are however very sour, which kills a little of the taste off.

The texture is strange but I think that's what they're going for. They’re soft, chewy, and fizzy all within one bite. I’m not sure what a “Whizzbee” is, but it sure makes for an interesting candy tie in.
