I’m not really sure what I was expecting and I’m not really sure what I got. The only thing I’m certain of is that this is a chunky Kit Kat bar. As far as the fruit and biscuit part, it’s far more unclear. One might argue that the wafers are biscuits, or it’s even possible that they used a different kind of biscuit instead of the wafer. The problem is that if they did use a different kind of biscuit it wasn’t different enough to change this bar in any way.

The fruit is even a bigger mystery. At the very least I would describe the fruit as subtle. I might even call it nonexistent. However, I think I got a slight hint of what might have been a slight raisin flavour. My guess is that the fruit might have been some kind of paste between the biscuits. I guess what I’m saying is the biscuits just tasted like wafers and the fruit flavour was completely overpowered by the chocolate, so this just tasted like a regular milk chocolate Kit Kat Chunky.

The other problem is the chocolate wasn’t that great, nowhere near the quality you might find in a British or Japanese Kit Kat bar. So it felt like I was eating an average Kit Kat Chunky with a possible slightly raisin like aftertaste. This bar could have been better, but it really needed to be bolder. First full raisins or larger pieces of dried fruit would have been much better, maybe mixed into the outer chocolate coating. It might also be improved if they added a thicker biscuit and removed half of the wafers of a regular Kit Kat Chunky. It would also be great if they used a really buttery shortbread too.

It ate a Kit Kat Chunky, so I can’t really complain, but I was promised so much more, so I wasn’t really satisfied either.
