Kit Kat "Korea"

Nestlé

I’m a little confused about the origins of this Kit Kat bar. As you may or may not know, I’ve taken it upon myself to try and sample regular milk chocolate Kit Kat bars from all over the world. Some people say that a milk chocolate Kit Kat is the same no matter where you get it, but I argue that it’s just not true. This one however might have some similarities to a bar I’ve already reviewed in the past.

The wrapper is covered in Korean writing, so there’s no doubt that this bar was made and packaged for the Korean market. There is however one thing on the package that confuses me, in small print (and virtually the only English on the package) are the words “Nestle Dubai Manufacturing LLC”. So my thoughts are that it might have been made in the United Arab Emirates and shipped to Korea. I’ve already reviewed a milk chocolate Kit Kat bar from the UAE, so I’m not sure if this review really counts.

This bar does have a lot of similarities to the Kit Kat bar I sampled in the UAE. The chocolate is very smooth, and it melted perfectly to the touch. A perfect milk chocolate melt for me is when you touch it your fingers get a slight milk chocolate film on them. It also tasted pretty creamy, maybe a bit creamier than the bar I had in the UAE, but I honestly wouldn’t know for sure without comparing the two. The bar also might be a little smaller than the American and Canadian version, with slightly smaller wafers, similar to the UAE version.

I’m not saying that this is the exact same bar as what’s found in the UAE, but it might be. Having said that, it’s a very good version of a Kit Kat bar so it makes total sense if you’re going to get your bars made somewhere else that this is the bar you might choose.
