I'm not really sure what I expected with these Candy Corn M&M's, but I do know that I'm feeling pretty disappointed. I likely looked a little like the red M&M on the package after eating these. On the outside these seemed fine, they were a bunch of white, yellow and orange M&M's. The problem came about once I bit into them. I thought that there would be some kind of attempt to try and make these taste somewhat like candy corn, but instead there was just white chocolate in the center. I tasted a few of them slowly, even sucking on them to see if I was missing something, but I couldn't detect a taste of anything except white chocolate.

While I'm not a huge hater on white chocolate, it is my least favorite of the chocolates. I find it only works when used creatively, and that often means blending it with other ingredients, cookie bits being one of my favorites. While eating these I did come across a new dilemma, I don't think I could really identify what flavour candy corn is. I'm fairly certain it's not white chocolate, so that's why these fail, but for the life of me I don't think I could place that taste other than to say that it's candy corn. It's a fairly bland taste, maybe vanilla, but not exactly.

In the end I'm of two thoughts about these M&M's. I'm sad they don't taste like candy corn because that's what is promised on the package, however I'm happy they don't taste like candy corn because I'm not convinced candy corn M&M's would work. In general I can't really recommend these, because I also am not a fan of the way they've used white chocolate either.
