Let it be said, that I love a classic treat. Let it also be said that I love the fact that so many stores and restaurants all over the place sell old-fashioned treats from so many different eras. My love of classic and retro treats and sweets is a big part as to why I review candy and snacks on the internet. Nothing makes me happier than to eat a treat that makes me, or one of my readers nostalgic. As far as this particular treat goes, you might be wondering how these Peppermint Sugar Sticks are different then your standard candy cane. Visually at least, they’re very similar to the candy cane. There are however a few differences, first of all the size is the most obvious difference. These are much more stumpy than your average candy cane. But there's more differences than just the shape. The flavour of these Sugar Sticks is just so much subtle than candy canes; you don't get that super cold burning sensation when you eat them. After eating one of these sticks, I don't feel like my mouth is freezing cold. Instead, it just seeps a subtle sweet peppermint flavour.

The texture is very different as well. These candy sticks are made of a much softer candy. In fact, when you suck them for a little while the soft texture almost becomes impossible not to crunch. It's as if the sugar is really the main texture, and it has such a subtle nice crunch.
