Everybody has different reason to get up in the morning. I'm not talking about the “because you have too”, I'm talking about the because “something so good is going to happen that day, and you’re all excited about it”. For me it's treats like these Peanut Butter Kisses, a gift from Allison while she was traveling across Canada that gets me up some mornings. While on a work trip, Allison brought these snacks home for me to review. I have no idea what they are, and I’ve never heard of the company that makes them. I'm pretty much going by looks and a faint smell of peanut butter as my first impression.

After unwrapping on of these little treats I discovered, as I suspected, that these brown lumps are in fact a taffy. In the centre there’s cute little brown dot surrounded by a lightly coloured ring. At first bite I was happy to learn that these are really soft and chewy, nice and fresh, just the way I like my taffy. I didn't really taste anything at first, just sweet, then a hint of peanut came across my palette. Unfortunately, this peanut flavour didn't really stay too long.

For a brief second these treats got really high marks, it was a peanut butter taste so subtle and nice, but it just didn't last. I really enjoyed the subtle taste but I wanted the flavour to last much longer. Disappointed, sure, but I do want to eat more of them just so I can enjoy that great fleeting taste once again. This might have been planned by the people at Purity, making you want to eat more and more of these, just to enjoy that fleeting peanut flavour.
