Now I'm sure you've all done this at some point in your candy eating life. You go to a nice little chocolate shop and pick up a few neat treats, and then you get home and don't remember at all what you've purchased. Well my friend, that's the pickle I'm in right now, and you'd think I'd be smarter than that being the Candy Critic. But I'm human; when you cut me, I bleed, when I eat a pound of Marshmallow Peeps, I get sick. So here goes the review of a treat that I’m not really sure what I’m getting into.
On first bite I have to say it's some kind of chocolate filled with caramel and nuts. This chocolate treat kind of taste like a Turtle only it’s a bit better. There is most definitely some kind of nut in this chocolate, but I can't place it at all. So, I guess my comment would be to add more nuts since they don’t really stand out at all. The chocolate and caramel on the other hand is perfect, and I'm not just using an expression. The chocolate is super smooth and the caramel is just strong enough to balance it all together. It's a real shame about the nuts, what ever kind of nut it was supposed to be, because with a few more I think this would really work a bit better.
This Red Foil Chocolate is really good, I guess if you ever find a box of Village Treats it’s likely safe to go for the mystery red one.
