Normally when I write a review for boxed chocolates, I pick just one and go for it. Today I'm making an exception. I'm making this exception because frankly these three chocolates go together so well that it would be wrong to review them separately or even to have to pick out one to review. With this box of chocolates, you get gingerbread milk chocolate, candy cane white chocolate, and eggnog dark chocolate.

First the gingerbread: It's a little strange eating this chocolate and not getting to crunch down on something. The gingerbread is so convincing in flavour, but the texture doesn't have a crunch so it confuses my pallet a little. It's not a bad thing at all, but it's just a little strange. The gingerbread flavour is really strong and takes out a bit of the milk chocolate flavour, but if I wanted simple milk chocolate I'd go for a plain truffle. The texture of the chocolate is spectacular; the chocolate is just so smooth and melts in your mouth just right.

Now Candy Cane: Similar to the gingerbread the texture of this chocolate is absolutely perfect. If you want to get into the chocolate making business and you need to see what good chocolate should feel like, buy a box of these. The mix of white chocolate and candy cane is really nice; it just gives you a sensation of a creamy candy cane. The white chocolate is not overpowered but instead it mixes just right with the candy cane flavour.

Finally, the eggnog: Of the three chocolates in this package, this one has the strongest chocolate flavour and the weakest theme flavour. It's not disappointing because the chocolate is very nice, however something seems to be missing. It doesn't have the power of the other two and the chocolate completely takes it over. It's not bad by any stretch of the imagination it's just not as good as the other two.
