Twiglets

Jacobs

For the most part the life of the Candy Critic is all about craving sweets, chocolates, suckers, whatever. Every once in a while, I go to the other side, I would call it the dark side but that would be a little harsh. It's more of a grayer side than anything else; it's all about the salty snacks today. So, at my local candy store (see I bought these at a candy store) I came across these salty treats. As usual I picked up the pack and inspected it thoroughly.

I was on the fence as to whether or not I should buy them, let alone write a review. Then I read a line on the package that locked it for me. There are these funny little warnings on the pack and one of them said "Hazardously Knobbly". The minute I read that line I laughed out loud and I knew I had to buy this bag of Twiglets. I mean what kind of person uses a word like "Hazardously" (This is a sarcastic joke please read it as such.)

So, I picked up these Twiglets and was about as built-up for them as this intro is long. I bit into them and have to say they were a little disgusting. They tasted like a bitter, burnt cracker with some kind of sour cheese-like flavour. I won't say that they were the worst things I've ever eaten in my life, but found it difficult to make it through the whole pack. My friend Larissa claims to enjoy them, but she's really into the bitter strange treats. I saw her go nuts on a bag of wasabi peas, something I just can't do.

So, to some, like Larissa, this treat works, but for me I'm just glad they came in a small bag.
