The Whozeewhatzit appears to be the distant cousin of the Whatchamacallit. These are two American candy bars that are unique, but mostly seem to sell on the strange name. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a Whatchamacallit so I had to check my review from earlier on. This bar seems to be pretty much on track with the Whatchamacallit as well. It’s a bar that seems to celebrate a weird name while actually giving you a fine enough candy bar, but nothing as outrageous as the name. Although, as I think about it, I’m not sure any candy could live up to the name Whozeewhatzit.
It seems like this bar is the peanut butter version of the Whatchamacallit. It’s funny because in my review of the Whatchamacallit I actually suggested that it could have been improved with some peanut butter. The problem with this bar is that it seems to have taken out the caramel. The caramel was the real winner with the Whatchamacallit and unfortunately it doesn’t seem like they’ve replaced it with something better. The peanut butter is subtle, so the chocolate really dominates. The crisps also add a nice crunch, but now I just feel like this bar would be so much butter with a strip of caramel added.
It seems like you can’t really get what you want. I’d like a bar with an extreme name like Whozeewhatzit to be a treat filled with wonderfully exciting candy bar fillings. This bar is a fine bar, but it doesn’t live up to the crazy name at all.
