100 Grand "With Peanuts"

Nestlé

It's been a while since I've had a 100 Grand, one of the earlier reviews on Candy Critic. I have to be honest: I don't really remember it very well. I have to say, though, this bar is pretty good. What I do remember, particularly looking back at my old review, is that these are normally just caramel, crisps, and chocolate. The addition of peanuts isn't a bad one. Some bars just don't work with additions that can be as powerful both in texture and taste as peanuts, but this bar really pulls it off.

The package says "limited time", but I really hope it stays. Making limited edition candy bars is something that really ticks me off sometimes, and sadly it's a trend. The test marketing departments of candy companies must be a zoo. They keep putting out these "limited editions", and often when they're popular they don't seem to bring them back to stay. While I’m sure it’s fun to come up with new candies, I’m also certain that there are limits to what works with most bars.

I normally wouldn't complain so much, except I just got over a similar situation with Wendy's and their Bacon Mushroom Melt burger. Sorry I'm a little on edge, but surely you can understand. I mean, this is a great bar, and the Bacon Mushroom Melt is a great burger. I don't want either of them to go away.
