Lufthansa "Milk Chocolate"

Coppeneur

Most of this review is going to talk about the quality of candy given in airplanes and occasionally in airports. If you want to know about this particular bar, it’s very simple. This is a very nice high quality milk chocolate bar. It’s smooth and very tasty. It melts perfectly in your mouth and leaves you very satisfied. While I don’t think it’s so good that you should book a flight just to get one, if you happen to be flying on Lufthansa I would certainly take one if offered, and even consider asking if I wasn’t.

If I was to rank this bar in the area of treats that I’ve been given on an airplane, I would say it’s top 5. It might go up a bit if you consider that I got this bar in economy class, and not business class. In all honesty, I’ve flown business class a few times, and the sweets tend to be very good. In economy the sweets can be good, but there’s a catch, you must be flying on a national airline from a country that’s known for a particular sweet. In particular chocolate seems to be a sweet treat that is often celebrated on airlines.

As I said before, I have yet to have a sweet treat that merits buying a ticket on an airline, but it never hurts to ask. This bar comes close to the best when it comes to economy class treats (that sounds really snooty, but it’s not supposed to). The best treat I think would be the chocolate bars I got in Swiss Air, but that brings up a whole new debate, who in Europe has the best chocolate. There are several places that could be in that lineup, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland all fit into that category. While I’ve been to Belgium, I don’t think I’ve ever flown on their airline, so I have yet to experience the quality of treat they might have.

Flying can be exciting, it can also be very difficult. I feel like a good quality chocolate bar being offered can only make it more exciting, or at the very least make a difficult flight tolerable.
