I kind of like the texture mix of this treat. With the Butterfinger centre layered between the wafers, it creates a really interesting crunch combination. Flavour-wise, the wafer takes away a lot of the Butterfinger taste and leaves it a little plain. This isn’t too surprising as I find the Butterfinger center to be a little bland. The chocolate on the outside is really weak as well so it really doesn’t help tamper down the strong wafer flavour. I seem to remember the original Butterfinger chocolate bar being a little higher quality in general as well, particularly with the chocolate.
I have to give Nestle credit, though. They did a version of a treat that was different enough from the original, but still had some detail saying it was a Butterfinger. They didn't just give it an orange flavoured chocolate or slap on some caramel on top; they actually thought of a different variation that was something new and creative.
All in all, it's not the greatest bar I've ever eaten, but if you find the original Butterfinger too sticky on the teeth, this could be the bar for you. It also has a pretty unique texture, without leaving the original Butterfinger behind.
