Chicken Bones

Ganong

Man, I haven't had Chicken Bones since I was a kid. The cool thing about them is they're appropriately named because they kind of look like and have the texture of chicken bones. The strange thing is I don't find that gross at all. It's like the ultimate double standard for me because I won't go near a real chicken bone without getting a real good case of the willies, yet I’ll eat these not problem.

The first thing you notice about these fine treats has to be the cinnamon. If you don't like cinnamon you might as well stay away from Chicken Bones and stop reading this review right now. The cinnamon even has a bit of a kick to it as well, but not so bad that you're running for the hills or even a glass of water. Trust me I'm an authority since if you put anything that has any kind of heat in my mouth I just cry like a baby.

The thing that makes these a little more than your average cinnamon candy is the chocolate (marrow like) centre. As you start to go through the cinnamon candy you start with just a little chocolate but by the time you're done it's mostly chocolate. I can't say I've even seen a candy with the timing chicken bones have, you just get a hint of the chocolate at first and as you want more it delivers right on time.

I like 'em but I always have ever since I was a kid.
