Cinnamon Hearts

Since when does hot cinnamon mean love. For years people have been giving these to their loved ones as a good gesture on a holiday that represents love. "Hey you mean the world to me and I think we have a future, and to prove it. Let me make you burn off your taste buds." Can you feel the love? Why not just kick them in the knee cap instead? This is something I’ve wondered for years but no one seems to bring it up. The second problem with cinnamon hearts is the flavor it's based off, cinnamon. Real cinnamon really isn't that hot. It begs the question, why do these treats want to play with my mind?

Having said all that, I don't mind these treats at all, they can be a little hot for my taste buds but for the most part if you crunch them the burning goes away. I find that the pure suffering comes from sucking on these, particularly if you have a full mouth full. I also find it difficult to eat too many. On Valentine’s Day I find it best to have a handful of these, and then head straight for the chocolate to cool things down.

Some of you might find it great to be able to eat someone's heart as well. I mean in some traditions it means their soul is yours.... right?
