Curly Wurly "Squirlies"

Cadbury

If you like the Curly Wurly you'll like these as well. The benefit of these over the regular Curly Wurly is that they’re much easier to share. I’ve tried to break apart a regular Curly Wurly and it’s a bit of a challenge. The caramel breaks easily in your mouth, but breaking it apart with your fingers is much more challenging. I imagine it has something to do with heat. So, it’s really nice to have a Curly Wurly that comes already broken apart, that is if you want to share.

Much like the Curly Wurly these Squirlies are a wonderful blend of high quality British chocolate mixed with a wonderful caramel center. These treats are so simple in design you would wonder why they taste so good. I would imagine that it has something to do with how thin they are, it allows the chewiness of caramel not to overpower. It also gives you a little extra chocolate to balance out the flavour.

The only thing wrong with the Squirlies has to be the look, they are not an attractive candy at all. I think you could have called them Curly Wurly Worms and it would have been more appropriate. It’s as if the machine that makes the really beautiful Curly Wurly broke down, and this is what came out. The thing is, they taste so good, why worry about looks particularly if it wrecks the taste.
