When you read this review, keep in mind that I don’t know which flavour of Nerds Gummy Clusters came out first, the rainbow or very berry. I’ll also mention that I do not have a bag of the rainbow variety to compare with these very berry Nerds. This is all to say that I feel like both of these candies are very similar. It’s not really a bad thing considering they both taste great. I went back and read my review of the rainbow Nerds Gummy Clusters and I seemed to mention that the gummy in the centre was fruity and berry forward. I would describe the centre of these as being the same, or at least very similar.
It’s possible that the Nerds coating of these is a little more berry forward than the rainbow Nerds, but honestly it’s only by a little bit. If I ate both versions side by side then maybe I might be able to point out the exact differences, but at this point it feel like these are a fruity clump of wonderful candy that kind of tastes fruity.
I guess what I’m saying is while I enjoyed these a great deal, I might have enjoyed another more distinct flavour as well. There are many different flavours of Nerds out there, so it might have been nice to have some Nerds Gummy Clusters that represented those flavours a little more. It might even be a good idea to make a bag of Gummy Clusters that has individual flavours of Nerds on each cluster. It’s not that I dislike these, in fact very much the opposite, I just don’t know why they would choose such similar flavours for the only two versions of this treat that they make.
