Milk Chocolate "With Hazelnuts"

No Name

If I was to take this chocolate bar at face value I would call it average or even slightly below average. The difference with this bar is the fact that it’s a fairly inexpensive, maybe even a discount chocolate bar. One thing I rarely take into account with this website is price. It’s probably a little unfair in that respect because I also put very expensive treats next to very inexpensive treats. It’s also fairly common for inexpensive treats to get a lower rating than expensive treats. It’s not always the case, but it’s more common than I’d like to admit.

It’s not to say that price doesn’t creep into my mind sometimes, but that most often happens when I spend a lot of money on something and it totally disappoints. It also happened a very few times that I’ve spent very little money on something and it’s totally exceptional too, but that’s very rare unfortunately.

This is all to say that objectively this is an average chocolate bar, but the price is one of the lowest at the grocery store where I bought it. I’ve most certainly spent a lot more money on bars that are nowhere as good as this bar. I would call this bar a bargain, and if you’re just craving a quick chocolate and hazelnut fix it’s perfect.

The actual makeup of this bar is fairly simple, it’s milk chocolate filled with crumbled bits of hazelnut. The hazelnuts are toasted well, and the chocolate is fine. I’d prefer slightly larger piece of hazelnut, but I was also happy that they weren’t ground into nothing. Both the chocolate and the hazelnut had a fairly good balance and you could taste all of them throughout the bar. There’s nothing that astonishing about this bar except for the fact that it works and doesn’t cost you much.
