This chocolate is a texture and flavour combination that could have failed so badly if done incorrectly. Described as "Toffee filled with vanilla fresh cream", it's a collection of tastes and textures that had to have the perfect balance, and this does. I have to be honest, when I bit into this beautiful chocolate, I didn't read the description, so I was really surprised by the crunchy toffee. It did break apart a little, since I bit it in two, and it was a little messy, but what a wonderful mess it was.
The toffee was just crunchy enough to give a great texture. The flavour of the toffee was really subtle and light. This subtle flavour is good because it had to blend with the other flavours, chocolate and vanilla cream. The vanilla cream could have been a little stronger in my book, but the texture was perfect. The chocolate flavour and texture were absolutely perfect in combination with the vanilla cream and toffee.
I guess if I had to find a fault it would be with the strength of the vanilla flavour. I'm not sure if they used real vanilla or an extract, but I think if this small detail could be adjusted you might have the most perfect chocolate ever made.
