I can't tell you why, but for some reason I thought that this snack was going to be a chewy treat. Maybe it was the packaging that lead me to this conclusion, but even when I opened the outer package leaving me with a bunch of individually wrapped squares, I still thought I was about to munch on some chocolate flavoured chews. What these squares offer instead is a bunch of little white and milk chocolate squares filled with cookie bits.
I can't say weather or not I'm disappointed or not about the lack of chewy chocolate flavoured squares. I'm happy with the taste and quality of the chocolate, I mean it's not the best chocolate in the world, but it's not bad either. There could have been a little more cookie bits throughout each square, but it wasn't totally lacking either. These Petit Bits were not really inspiring either, it wasn't something that blew me away with its originality, and it wasn't so spectacular in its flavour or texture to make me take notice either.
What I was hopping was that maybe these little squares where chocolate cookie chews, mostly because I’ve never seen anything like that before. Now I'm not sure if that would have tasted any better, in fact I got them because I couldn't figure out how a candy company could make that work. I guess I'm still wondering that right now, but at least I had some chocolate squares to inspire my thoughts.
