Reese "White Chocolate" Peanut Butter Cups

Something's missing in these Reese Peanut Butter Cups. Hmmmmm, what could it be? Well it's got peanut butter, and it sure is a cup, but there's still something missing. I know what’s missing, any kind of chocolate flavour. The Reese Peanut Butter Cups are a classic treat that’s been so well designed. It’s fun to eat, and easy to share, but most importantly it has a really great balance of flavours and textures. Flavour is where this variation seems to fall completely flat.

I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of white chocolate, so that’s a bit of a problem right off the bat. It doesn’t help that this particular white chocolate doesn’t really feel like any kind of chocolate as much as it's a white chocolate-like substance. Now I have to say that the white chocolate really doesn't affect the flavour, actually it doesn't do anything except contain the peanut butter, and that’s the problem. The white chocolate just doesn't do anything to improve the flavour of this treat at all. Compared to the milk chocolate that’s normally on a Reese Peanut Butter Cup, it’s kind of a negative.

So, what in the world would make me want to eat this treat again? It's not bad if you like peanut butter but it’s really lacking any kind of chocolate flavour at all. As far as the white chocolate goes on this treat, these cups aren’t really worth the price.
