Do you want to know how to spell disappointment? Well, I spell it R O L O B I S C U I T S. Well, actually I normally spell it D I S A P P O I N T M E N T, but that really wouldn't have been that dramatic would it. It might be fun if for this review I no longer used the word “disappointment”, and each time it comes up, I’ll switch it to the words “Rolo Biscuits” and vise versa. Sure, it might get confusing, but it’s appropriate for this treat.
I've been eyeing these treats for so long. I also have so many treats in line for review that to make it on the site I really have to want to review it. So today, I was walking through a local candy store and once again I came across these “disappointments” and they were so tempting that I disrupted the whole review line up so I could try them. The idea of a blending a cookie and the caramel and chocolate from a Rolo could never be a “Rolo Biscuit”.
Well, I have to say that it was a “Rolo Biscuit”. The caramel is nothing like that in a normal "Rolo" caramel, the texture and flavour was totally off. Although the chocolate was okay, the cookie portions were horrible. The cookie wasn't that crunchy at all, it kind of felt like something that should not have been in any kind of treat at all.
This is the first time I've ever been totally “Rolo Biscuited” with a treat bearing the Rolo name, and I hope it is the last.
