Ok I know, it's way after Easter and here I am reviewing an Easter treat. Is it because I just couldn't get the review posted in time? No. Is it because I'm thinking ahead for next Easter? No. Is it because I can't keep my hands off the bargain rack in candy shops right after Easter? You bet. I saw a whole pile of these eggs at a super low price, and the only thing better than candy, is discount candy. What makes this even better is that this is discount candy and its good quality stuff.
I swear these things say peanut butter on them... Wait a minute this is a little bit of candy label trickery. You see this is a butter cream filled chocolate egg, with peanut flavour. This egg is not what you think particularly if you're like me and thinking of peanut butter. But you're probably smarter than that, at the very least you’re likely smarted than me. I was convinced this treat would be like eating a really good peanut butter cup, but instead I got a butter cream filling with a slight peanut flavour. It’s not at all what I was expecting, and probably a little light on the peanut flavour.
I can't say I hate this Peanut Butter Cream Egg; I just can't say I love it either. If you don't like super sweet treats, I really recommend staying away from this, my teeth are a little buzzed out by this and I'm a professional. It’s also not the best treat in the world if you’re a peanut butter fanatic. I’m not a grammar expert, but I think they could have named this egg a little bit better, to make it clear that you’re not getting peanut butter.
