Is garlic bread something that people want to snack on? I’m not saying this to disparage this snack, in fact all told I very much enjoyed these. I just don’t know if I’ve ever craved garlic (or cheese and onion) bread outside of having it before pizza or pasta. I certainly didn’t buy these because I craved garlic bread (I wasn’t at an Italian restaurant at the time), I bought them because I was super curious if they would work as a snack on their own. I guess what it comes down to is can garlic bread work as a snack on its own, and does anyone want it.

I can’t really tell you if anyone wants it beyond saying that I’ve never seen it before as a snack like this, so I’m not sure there’s a demand. I can tell you that maybe it should be more common, because it really worked. I’m sure you could fail at making a packaged garlic bread like snack, but the folks at Oishi didn’t. Each little bread slice had a wonderful crunch and a tasty cheese and onion flavour. They claim that there are real chives on each piece as well, but I didn’t really see them.

I’m not sure who would ever crave small little garlic bread slices, but maybe some people might be interested once they see them. The good news is if anyone is curious, and they pick up a bag, they should be fairly satisfied. Oishi makes a nice crunchy snack that feels like the original, but also has a few unique traits that make them tasty.
