If you love bananas, then this treat is going to be an utter disappointment to you. I can’t imagine a person looking for a banana, coming across these and thinking I’m sure it will do. Needless to say, these are nothing like bananas. I might even go so far as to say that these are almost opposite to bananas in many ways. They’re also a very strange experience to have when you take your first bite. The only part of this treat that even remotely reminds me of bananas is the extremely fake banana flavour. I’m sure many of you reading this are familiar with that extremely fake banana flavour, and if you’re like me you’re not a big fan.

The texture is where this treat both goes off the rails and delivers what’s promised at the same time. It’s off the rails because a Styrofoam, crunchy corn based treat doesn’t really work with a banana themed snack. However, the package seems to suggest that it’s exactly what you should be expecting. This particular corn puff is very much on the plastic like texture that melts away in your mouth instantly. It’s an odd sensation that actually feels a little better the more of them you eat.

That’s pretty much how I would describe this snack, it’s shockingly bad/weird, but if you eat a few of them your mouth eventually accepts them. It’s also worth noting that the package has a few suggested ways of eating these including covered in chocolate and with ice cream. Maybe that might be fun, but I didn’t have either on hand, so I ate them straight. I did manage to get through the whole bag, but I’m pretty sure I’ll never try them again.
